Chapter 9

Guru Harkrishan — A Thin Veil

The eighth Guru, the child-Guru who was the crown of God's pure ones — only the thinnest veil between him and God.

The eighth Guru, Guru Harkrishan, was the crown of God's pure and accepted ones. His wonder is known throughout the world, and his light makes the truth shine. The chosen give themselves for him, and the pure bow always at his door. His followers are the finest of every world. Nand Lal reads the letters of his name as powers — able to humble the strongest giants, worthy of the eternal throne, a door of kindness, a tamer of every fierce force, and the closest friend of God's own gifts.

Guru Harkrishan is grace and giving itself, the most beloved of all God's chosen. Only the thinnest veil stands between him and God; his whole being is God's grace and God's gift. Both worlds find their success through his mercy — his kindness puts the shine of the sun into the smallest speck of dust.

Through him both worlds are fulfilled, and every speck has become bright as the sun. His shelter is God's gift to all who follow him, and everyone, from the depths to the skies, obeys his word.
